To state the obvious; yesterday was a long, busy day. I got my first sunburn of the year.

After work at 7am I left and picked up my best friend at his job and took him to the temp agency so he could pick up his paycheck. His car was completely out of gas and there would be no way for him to drive to get his paycheck. The situation worked out good for the rest of the day we had planned out. So I got to his work place, picked him up and we then went to Walmart and cashed his check – we also picked up a 2 gallon gas can.

This will be his final trip to the temp agency to get his paycheck – from now on, now that he is officially hired in, he’ll be receiving his check direct deposit every two weeks. He will also be receiving a raise.

He then took me out to breakfast at Steak & Shake because we had a rather important day ahead of us. We were to meet up with a realtor and look at homes for sale in the Lansing Michigan area.

Our lives are slowly coming together and it’s rather exciting.

At 10:30am my best friend and I met up with the realtor at the first home we wanted to look at and got an amazing tour. The house was beautiful, it was exactly the type of place him and I imagined, very cozy and inviting. Spread out but not too big and had each area sort of cut off from each other offering privacy. The place was amazing and him and I fell in love with it almost instantly, however we kept our options open and decided to look at the second house.

The second house wasn’t impressive at all. It felt very disjointed. It was a hodgepodge of a mess and nothing felt right. I could not see myself living there. My best friend felt the same way about it as I did. The third home that we were going to look at, something came up with the current home owner so that we had to reschedule a tour for next week Monday at 10am.

As we waved goodbye to the realtor, my best friend and I went to a gas station and filled up the gas can be bought and went back to his car and poured that in his gas tank so he’d be able to get back to the gas station to properly fill up.

He was supposed to go play basketball at noon with two friends of his from his new job – but they never got back with him, so we decided that we’d go to a park in Lansing and play HORSE and PIG for awhile since it was such a nice day out.

We played basketball for several hours resulting in me getting quite the sunburn. It was fun but we soon called it a day.

There is so much to do in so little time. I don’t know anything about buying a house and that is all I want to do right now.

When I got home yesterday, I left again and did a bit of grocery shopping.

There is so much to do.

But we need this.
